RONALD D. BOURQUE has been practicing law for 39 years. He earned his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Detroit, graduating summa cum laude in 1969.He earned his law degree from the University of Maine School of Law in 1972.He began private practice in his home town of Sanford in 1972.The firm is now in its fourth decade of providing general legal services to clients in York and Cumberland counties.Mr. Bourque has extensive experience in a wide variety of practice areas, including residential and commercial real estate transactions, civil litigation and divorce and child custody cases, and complex litigation.Mr. Bourque is counsel to over 150 small business corporations, and several municipalities and public utilities.Mr. Bourque is a member of the Maine Bar Association and Maine Trial Lawyers Association.
JEAN L. WALSH grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. She attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as an undergraduate and received her juris doctorate from the University of Nebraska Law School in 1986. She has practiced law in Sanford, Maine for 25 years, and is currently concentrating in the areas of family law, bankruptcy, probate and general civil litigation. She is a past president of the York Bar Association and a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. Professional accomplishments include the successful litigation of a case of first impression regarding holographic wills in Estate of Gonzalez, 855 A.2d 1146, 2004 ME 109.Jean is a founding member and officer of Strategies for a Stronger Sanford, a non-profit organization devoted to promoting healthy alternatives for Sanford youth through mentoring and community service to benefit the neighborhood.Among other things, this organization has been responsible for creating a teen center without walls, establishing a Youth Council, and breathing life into a neighborhood park by repairing a neglected building, planting a community garden and running summer programs in the park.
JESSICA A. DEMERS joined the firm following her graduation from the University of Maine School of Law in 2004.Prior to attending law school, she earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees with a concentration in English, volunteered as a Guardian ad Litem, and taught college-level English and Writing courses.During law school, Ms. Demers clerked for a criminal defense firm in Portland and served as a member of the Moot Court Board, earning distinction for both her written work and oral argument at the Trilateral Moot Court Competition.She also served as a Legal Writing Instructor during her third year at Maine Law.Ms. Demers graduated cum laude and received the Gignoux Award for Appellate Advocacy and Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award for her work with the Cumberland Legal Aid.Her practice focuses on litigation, including general civil litigation, personal injury, criminal defense, and family matters. BRADLEY C. MORIN is a 1999 graduate of the University of Maine and 2006 graduate of Boston University School of Law.Mr. Morin worked as a newspaper reporter in Maine and New Hampshire before returning to school to pursue a career as a lawyer. He graduated summa cum laude from law school, and wrote for Boston University Law Review. (link to published case note). While in school, Mr. Morin also participated in the school’s legal aid clinic and represented low-income criminal defendants in Boston Municipal Court. He also served as an intern with the Massachusetts Public Defenders.After graduation, Mr. Morin entered practice at the Boston office of one of the world's leading law firms, K&L Gates LLP. He worked on complex litigation including products liability and class actions.He moved back to Maine in June 2008 and joined Bourque & Clegg LLC.He now works in a variety of practice areas, including general civil litigation, personal injury, family law, probate, real estate, business law and issues involving land use or municipalities.Mr. Morin is licensed to practice in state and federal courts of Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
